    Schindler's Factory, located in the Zabłocie district of Krakow, was founded in 1937 as an enamelware factory. During World War II, German industrialist Oskar Schindler used it to employ and protect over 1,200 Jewish workers from Nazi extermination. His story became famous thanks to Steven Spielberg's film "Schindler's List" (1993). Today the building houses the museum "Krakow under Nazi Occupation 1939-1945", one of the most visited museums in Poland, telling the story of daily life during the occupation through documents, photographs and interactive installations.
